House Rules

Our aim is to ensure that you have as comfortable a stay as you possibly can. We love helping facilitate a 5-star guest experience! If during your stay, anything bothers you, contact us, we want to know so we can do our best to make it right. We will always be available by text or phone. Call twice between hours of 10pm-630am. PLEASE TAKE CARE TO READ ALL THE RULES BELOW IN THEIR ENTIRETY :)

YOU ARE STAYING AT THE ENTIRE RESORT!

PARKING: When you arrive at Alpine Resort you will have all parking spaces available for you to use located in main and gravel drive along Croton Hardy Drive. If you require more spaces please reach out to us. All parking spaces are located along roadside of lodge. DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS OR ALONG THE MAIN DRIVE AS THIS COULD BLOCK OTHERS!

ACCESS:
-Check-in is 4pm-10pm, check-out is 11am. If you plan to arrive outside of the check-in window you must reach out to us.
-If you'd like to check-in early or check-out late there please reach out to the host. There is generally a small fee for these requests.
-The door has a key code which will be sent 1 hour prior to check-in. If you have any problems with access do not hesitate to call us immediately there is a lockbox with a copy of a key on-site.


KITCHEN:
-Help yourself to anything in the kitchen. We supply coffee, as well as cooking utensils should you wish to cook. IF something runs out or doesn't work please leave it empty on the counter or send us a message so we can ensure it is replenished/fixed.
-KINDLY start dishwasher prior to leaving and if time allows return them to cabinets in the same location as found.
-KINDLY dispose of used food and containers from refrigerator and cabinets.
-Refrigerator, microwave, stove, coffee pot should not be left excessively dirty.
-KINDLY take trash out to the blue dumpster prior to departure.

BEDROOMS/LIVING AREAS:
-We kindly ask that you leave the place as you found it. PLEASE RETURN ALL ITEMS TO PROPER LOCATIONS. IF AN ITEM WAS MOVED FROM ONE UNIT TO THE OTHER KINDLY RETURN IT!
-Our preference is that you remove your shoes at the door to avoid excess dirt and debris in the unit.
-We reserve the right for additional cleaning charges due to cleaning related to bio-hazard/bodily fluid spills/damages.
-We do recommend travel insurance to cover damages or trip cancellations.
-No video or other marketing production without the consent of owner.


BATHROOMS:
-Toilet paper ONLY in toilets to avoid additional charges.
-If you forgot something, we’ve got most of the essentials covered! Please do not abuse this complimentary service and only use it if you are in need.
-Please leave used towels/linens on floor.

HEATING/COOLING:
-Feel free to set the systems to your desired comfort level however please be courteous not to abuse the systems by setting extremely low or high.
-KINDLY turn down heat to 60 degrees and turn off AC prior to checkout.

OUTSIDE/COMMON AREAS
-Respect quiet hours 9pm-8am
-Firepit is available exclusively for your use and is to be used responsibly and AT YOUR OWN RISK. We assume no responsibility for injuries or damages caused by having a campfire.
-Fires are to stay within the fire enclosure/ring and flame should not exceed approximately 2 feet in height.
-Firewood can be provided at an additional charge of $5 per bundle/milk crate full.
-KINDLY close all windows so smoke does not enter cabin
-All docks are available for your use. If you require more dock space please let us know. (seasonal approx Apr 1-Oct 15)
-Grills are available for your use. IF YOU MOVE THEM PLEASE RETURN TO THEIR LOCATIONS AND TURN OFF PROPANE WHEN DONE USING. KINDLY CLEAN GRATES ON GRILL WHEN DONE USING.
-Four kayaks are available for use while staying on the property. The kayaks are to be used at your own risk, host assumes no responsibility for their use.
-Kayaks should be drained and returned to their storage location when complete. Life jackets should be hung to dry in similar location.
-Double wrap fish waste in airtight
plastic bags to minimize smells.
-Fish cleaning table near boat dock, DO NOT clean fish inside a building.
-WELL BEHAVED PETS ARE ALLOWED FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. Please be aware that you will be charged a minimum $150 cleaning fee for excessive messes and for any damages done by pet during stay. The pet fee does cover the extra time it takes to clean after a pet stay. Excess cleaning includes but is not limited to; excess pet hair on furniture/linens/blankets from pets being allowed on these items, any chewed/scratched items, excess hair in non standard areas, dog waste left in lawn, etc.
-No smoking within 50 feet of buildings, butts must be disposed of properly NOT ON GROUND!
-The property is equipped with video surveillance for your safety and the safety of others.

GUESTS:
-No overnight guests without permission and $15/person fee.
-No parties or on-site events.
-Tenant must supervise and accepts full responsibility for all guests during their stay.
-Guests must obey all rules of the property.

Any breach of the above house rules could result in additional fees/charges.

Additional notes:
-While we take a great deal of care for the places at Alpine Resort, if you're seeking a perfect flawless place or are super high maintenance this is not the place for you.
-The resort is located on a busier road which does cause some daytime noise.
-This is a rural area so internet service is sufficient but not as fast as it would be in the city.
-The cabins are well insulated however the front room being all windows does get a bit colder, however extra blankets are provided.
-For people over 6’ tall, Cabin 1 and 2 shower will be a little inconvenient and short for them.
-Cabin 2 bedroom does not have a door.
-MUST HAVE 1 adult occupying each unit at all times
-$15/per person/per night over 20 guest.
Guest interaction
The owners will always be a text or call away if any issues arise however our desire is to give each guest privacy and space to enjoy themselves within the confines of the house rules.
Neighborhood overview
-The Jetty diner/campground store across the street! (seasonal)
-Beach/play structure across the street
-Grocery market/2 restaurants (one on waterfront/one pizza takeout)/gas station/ATM ~1 minute drive
-Hit the Road Joe on Elm (likely passed on the way in) amazing pizza and breakfast call/plan ahead as they have limited hours
-Newaygo State Park and the famous dragon trail (hiking/biking/etc) ~10 minute drive
-ORV Trails ~15 minute drive
-Newaygo Brewing Co ~12 minute drive
-Coolbough Natural Areas/hiking ~10 minute drive
-City of Newaygo (fast food, canoe rental, hardware store, grocery, etc) ~12 minute drive
-Boat launch ~5 minute drive
